Paul Shah appeals to high court demanding his release
POKHARA: MARCH. 29 – Actor Paul Shah, who is being held in judicial custody in Gandaki’s Tanahun district on charge of raping a minor, filed an appeal with the Pokhara High Court on Tuesday, demanding his release.
Earlier this week, the Tanahun District Court ordered the police to detain Shah until the final verdict in the case, despite the fact that it had released his manager, Krishna Joshi, on a Rs 100,000 bail.
In his appeal, Shah claims that the district court’s order is incorrect, informing the high court’s information officer, Bishnu Prasad Acharya.
“Now, the court will hear the case, focusing on whether the district court’s order was faulty,” Acharya says, “and if it is found to be incorrect, he will be ordered released.”
However, a similar case is being heard in the same state’s Nawalpur District Court. The court has yet to decide whether or not to keep Paul Shah in custody.
