Municipal building inaugurated without completion of construction, one arrested

DHANGADHI: MARCH. 28 – The Godawari Municipality of Kailali has inaugurated a building currently under construction. Mayor Harisingh Saund dedicated the Godawari Municipality-2 building that is currently under construction.

Despite locals’ protests, Mayor Saund inaugurated the building amid tight security. Following a protest during the inauguration ceremony, one person was arrested.

LR Ojha, a local, was arrested for attempting to show a black flag during the inauguration.

On Sunday, the Nepali Congress had handed over a letter to the municipality saying that the building under construction was about to be inaugurated.
