Government plans nationwide typhoid vaccination for children

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 28 – The Ministry of Health and Population will administer the typhoid vaccine to children aged 15 months to 15 years.

The nationwide vaccination campaign will begin on April 8 and end on May 1, according to Ministry joint-spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari.

Parents/guardians have been requested to take their children to a nearby vaccination center to ensure they are vaccinated against typhoid fever.

According to Dr. Adhikari, the typhoid vaccine will be included in the government’s routine vaccination programs for children following the campaign.
