Prachanda is scheduled to visit Rolpa today
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 28 – The race between the parties is heating up as the date of the local level election, set for May 13, approaches. The government’s opposition parties are carrying out various campaign programs at citizens’ doorsteps, including the election campaign.
Top leaders of the ruling and opposition parties are now active in villages and towns with a variety of programs, including public rallies, to attract leaders and activists from other parties and citizens to their party.
Meanwhile, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ the Chairperson of the ruling CPN-Maoist Center, is visiting Rolpa today. Prachanda is scheduled to visit Rolpa to inaugurate the People’s War Memorial Tower, which was built by the Rolpa Municipality to promote war tourism.
The tower, built at a cost of Rs 60 million, is named after more than a thousand martyrs who were martyred during the 10-year armed insurgency and statues of some of them have also been erected. After the inauguration of the tower, Prachanda is scheduled to address a public meeting to be organized by the party at Tundikhel in Liwang.
