Chinese Foreign Minister Wang arrives in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 25 – Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, has arrived in Kathmandu. He arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport this afternoon following his visit to India.
Wang, who arrived in Pakistan on Monday, arrived in Kathmandu via Afghanistan and India.
The visiting team of 25 arrived in Kathmandu and proceeded to the Dwarika Hotel from the airport. Only tomorrow, Saturday morning, will they hold a formal meeting.
On Saturday morning, he will meet Narayan Khadka. Prior to that, he will go hiking in Shivapuri at 6:30 a.m.
He is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Saturday afternoon and President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday morning.
After meeting UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and UCPN (Maoist) Central Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Sunday, he is scheduled to return to China in the evening.
He was welcomed by officials along with the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi.
