Deepak Khadka announced his candidacy for post of chairperson of Sotang Rural Municipality

SOLUKHUMBU: MARCH. 25 – Deepak Khadka, a Maoist center leader, has announced his candidacy for the position of chairperson of Solukhumbu’s Sotang Rural Municipality. On Friday, Leader Khadka announced his candidacy at a function held at Shivtar Bazar in Sotang.

According to Ashim Rai, the coordinator of the Maoist Center in Solukhumbu, he was the first candidate out of 753 municipalities.

The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Center, Solukhumbu, has almost certainly declared the first candidate at each of the 753 local levels.

The Maoist center has targeted popular leader Deepak Khadka as a candidate in Sotang Rural Municipality,’ said coordinator Rai.

Khadka had recently joined the Maoists. He has been contesting the local elections of 2074 BS independently and this time he has been saying that he will win for the public service.
