Esewa partners with EzRemit

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 24 – Esewa Money Transfer, a remittance company under F1 Soft Group that has been providing digital remittance services as well as traditional counter-based remittance services in Nepal from over 200 countries around the world, has entered into a new remittance partnership with EzRemit, a UK-based money transfer product under BFC Bank that offers fast, reliable, and cost-effective global money transfer services in minutes.

This collaboration directly benefits Nepalese working and living in the more than 40 countries where BFC Bank has expanded its network. People can now use EzRemit’s over 55,000 agent network spread across 40 countries to send money to Nepal.

As eSewa Money Transfer has prioritized Digital Remittance since its inception, the sender can use the services of EzRemit to directly send money to any bank account of the beneficiaries back in Nepal.

The receiver can also request that the money be transferred directly to their eSewa wallet, Nepal’s first and largest digital payment gateway. Aside from that, the beneficiary can withdraw the money by visiting one of the more than 12,000 cash pick-up locations of Esewa Money Transfer and the more than 1 million agent network of eSewa wallet across Nepal.

Beneficiaries are also eligible for NRs 77 bonuses if their cash is delivered directly to their eSewa wallet. Ajesh Koirala, CEO of Esewa Money Transfer, and Mujahid Malik, CFO and acting CEO of EzRemit, signed the agreement. Speaking on the agreement, Mr Koirala said, “We are happy to start up a remittance partnership with an internationally recognized Remit Company- EzRemit, under BFC Bank.

With this partnership, we aim to connect more Nepalese outside Nepal to stay in touch with their family members and friends with quick, cheap, and fast digital remittance services”.
