Nepal playing against Thailand today

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 24 – Nepal, which is preparing for the third round of Asia Cup qualifiers, is playing against Thailand in an international friendly today. The match will begin at 6:15 p.m. Nepali time in Chon Buri, Thailand.

Nepal and Thailand are both in the third round of the AFC Asia Cup-2023. A friendly match is being played keeping in view the same competition.

Coach Abdullah Al Mutairi stated that the game against Thailand would be extremely beneficial in the Asian Cup’s third round. “The game here will help us a lot in preparing for the Asian Cup qualifiers. This is the first time that the Nepali team has coached in Thailand. And I am satisfied with the journey here. And, the Nepali team is also happy with the training, ‘Abdullah said before the game.

Nepal is in Group A for the third round. Where Jordan, the organizers are Kuwait and Indonesia. Thailand is in Group C. Where Uzbekistan, Maldives and Sri Lanka are in the same group.

Nepal will play under the captaincy of Kiran Kumar Limbu against the FIFA rankings and relatively strong Thailand. Thailand is currently ranked 112th in the FIFA rankings, while Nepal is ranked 167th.
