Landslides obstruct Dang-Salyan road section

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 23 – The Rapti Highway section of the Dang-Salyan road has been closed after a dry landslide buried an excavator.

A landslide that occurred on Tuesday evening while working on a road in Chhanga, near Kapurkot-3 Chorkhola in Salyan district, buried an excavator (Ba 2 Ka 80770). Himnath Yogi, the excavator driver, suffered minor injuries in the landslide.

Despite the presence of another excavator on the site, the road could not be opened. Police have stated that they are preparing to remove the landslide from Dang using another excavator.
