Leader Poudel insists on depoliticising development endeavours
LAMJUNG: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has spoken about the need of depoliticising development endeavours.
Speaking at a programme here today, the leader was confident that the country could see a significant pace of development if there is a collective approach towards that end.
He insisted on the need of concerted efforts among the people, political parties and local to the federal government in regard to development efforts.
He took time to underscore the need of creating jobs within the village so as to encourage the youth forced to seek an employment career locally and prevent a large exodus of youths from villages in search of job opportunities.
According to the NC leader, an electoral alliance for the upcoming elections will be forged on a need basis.
As he claimed, doubts over the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact were gradually being cleared off with the people realising its potential benefits.
On the occasion, the former Deputy Prime Minister laid a foundation stone for a motorable bridge (20 meters long and seven meters wide) over the Chardi river. The structure will connect the Suryapal and Chardiramgha of Madhyanepal Municipality-3.
Municipality mayor Ramesh Kumar Pandey the project was self-funded by the local government. The cost of the project is Rs 22.6 million and it will be completed within the next one and a half years, it is said.
