KATHMANDU: MARCH. 21 – Nepal is under pressure after the UAE set a 203-run target in the ODI World Cup League Two Cricket. Nepal is under pressure after losing three wickets in three overs.
In the second over, opener Kushal Bhurtel was out for 5 runs. After Pawan Sharraf and Dipendra Singh Airee were out in the third over, the pressure on Nepal increased. After regular opener Aasif Sheikh was rested today, Pawan was sent to the opening. But even this strategy did not succeed.
Batting first after losing the toss in the UAE, the home team lost 9 wickets in 50 overs and scored 202 runs.
Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets, while Karan KC and Sompal Kami each took two. Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee and Aarif Sheikh each took one wicket.
Rohan Mustafa of UAE scored 60, Mohammad Wasim 33, Chirag Suri 26 and Vriitya Aravind 24 runs.
In the previous match of the series, Nepal had lost to UAE by 48 runs. Chasing the target of 169 runs, Nepal was all out for 120 runs.
