KATHMANDU: MARCH. 21 – Following the United Arab Emirates’ 203-run target in the ODI World Cup League Two Cricket, Nepal suffered a setback in the second over. Kushal Bhurtel, Nepal’s opener, was out in the second over.

Gyanendra Malla and Pawan Sharraf are in the crease. After regular opener Aasif Sheikh was rested today, Pawan was sent to the opening.

Batting first after losing the toss in the UAE, the home team lost 9 wickets in 50 overs and scored 202 runs.

Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets, while Karan KC and Sompal Kami each took two. Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee and Aarif Sheikh each took one wicket.

Rohan Mustafa of UAE scored 60, Mohammad Wasim 33, Chirag Suri 26 and Vriitya Aravind 24 runs.

In the previous match of the series, Nepal had lost to UAE by 48 runs. Chasing the target of 169 runs, Nepal was all out for 120 runs.
