Government in preparation for Ninth National Games
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 21 – According to Sports Minister Maheshwar Jung Gahatraj, the government is hard at work preparing for the Ninth National Games.
On Monday, Minister Gahatraj inaugurated the 58th anniversary of the National Sports Council and the new administrative building in Kathmandu, saying that the working procedure for the Ninth National Games has been prepared and will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance soon.
He stated that discussions are underway to get involved in the Asian Games preparations by completing the National Games by May 29. Minister Gahajarat stated that he was committed to allocating a sufficient budget to ensure the effectiveness of the sports sector in the coming fiscal year.
He said that there was a problem for the effective development of the sports sector due to insufficient investment. Various people were honored at the event.
