UML Politburo meeting for election preparations

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 21 – The main opposition party, the CPN-UML, is holding a Politburo meeting today. The meeting will be held at 11 a.m. at Karki Banquet at Babar Mahal, according to Bishnu Rijal, Deputy Chief of Publicity Department.
He stated that the meeting will go over the criteria for selecting local-level candidates as well as the party’s manifesto. The Politburo consists of 99 members, including 19 office bearers and 26 members of standing committees.
Most political parties have recently begun focusing on programs aimed at the May 13 local elections. The CPN-UML is also ramping up its election campaign across the country.
