Action against 456 drivers in Holi
JANAKPUR: MARCH. 20 – Drivers of 456 vehicles violating traffic rules during the Holi festival has been taken action in different districts of Madhesh State.
Santu Prasad Jaiswal, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Pathalaiya Bara, said that action has been taken against those who consumed alcohol, violated traffic rules, and rode without a helmet during the Holi festival.
A total of 56 people have been arrested in Saptari, 158 in Siraha, 74 in Dhanusha, 91 in Parsa, 31 in Mahottari, 25 in Sarlahi, 14 in Rautahat and 7 in Bara.
Jaiswal said that Rs. 231,000 revenue was collected by taking action against the driver.
Similarly, during Holi, two people were killed and 114 people were injured in 59 road accidents across Madhesh State’s eight districts.
