Gandaki State Government prioritises accessible health care services: CM Pokharel
GANDAKI: MARCH. 18 – Gandaki State Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel stated that the Gandaki State Government has prioritized ensuring accessible health care services in all communities.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister inaugurated a primary health care services building in Galkot Municipality-5, Baglung, and pledged to provide specialist health care services to people in rural areas by deploying specialist health personnel who will be compensated. He did, however, mention human resource management as a significant challenge.
On the occasion, he stated that the Gandaki State Government had issued a health policy to strengthen the health care sector and was working in the social sector in addition to the development of physical infrastructures.
Expressing their views on the occasion, State Assembly Member Piyari Thapa, Mayor of Galkot Municipality Bharat Sharma Gaire, Deputy Mayor Renu Kumari Kauchha Magar and others drew the attention of the Chief Minister for the sustainable and effective management of the health care there.
The hospital has a capacity of 15 beds and was built for Rs 70 million. Currently, 14 officials, including two medical officers, provide health care to up to 1,200 patients per month.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pokharel, a Nepali Congress leader, has urged party cadres to stay active in order to secure the party’s strong position in the upcoming polls, which range from local to federal.
Leader Pokharel stated this while speaking to party cadres at various political events in Baglung on Thursday.
