Arrival of US troops in Nepal is an illusion: Home Minister Khand
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 18 – Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand stated that it is an illusion that US troops will come to Nepal under the MCC project. Stating that there is an illusion in the minds of the people about the arrival of US troops in Nepal due to the grant, he said that he is ready to fight in the front line of any country’s army.
Home Minister Khand clarified that the MCC project is an electricity and road project during the opening ceremony of the 12th Kapilvastu Festival in Jitpur, Banganga Municipality of Kapilvastu.
He claimed that despite having 6,000 rivers, large and small, Nepal, a country rich in water resources, has not been able to fully generate hydropower. “During the rainy season, there is an issue with excessive electricity waste. We must import it from India before the winter arrives “He stated.
He stated that the government owes it to entrepreneurs because they are business-friendly. “Government and people are two sides of the same coin,” he explained. The Kapilvastu Festival will be held until March 27.
