Liverpool move to within one point of Manchester City

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 17 – Liverpool defeated Arsenal 2-0 on Wednesday in the English Premier League, closing the gap on top-placed Manchester City to one point.

Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino scored a goal each in the second half to give Liverpool the win in London. Liverpool now has 69 points from 29 games. City, which is ranked first, has 70 points from the same game. Arsenal, which lost a chance to move up to the third place, is now in fourth place with 51 points.

Tottenham defeated Brighton by 20 points in another game last night. Cristian Romero and Harry Kane all scored in Tottenham’s win. With the victory, Tottenham is in seventh place with 48 points. Brighton is in 13th place with 33 points.
