Dismissal of writ against citizenship ordinance

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 16 – The Supreme Court’s Constitutional Bench dismissed the writ petition against the Citizenship Ordinance.

The writ petition against the ordinance was dismissed on Wednesday by a bench consisting of Chief Justice Deep Kumar Karki, Judges Mira Khadka, Hari Krishna Karki, Ishwor Khatiwada, and Ananda Mohan Bhattarai.

The Supreme Court had stopped the implementation of the ordinance brought by the then Oli government on May 23.
