14 commercial banks taken action for violating directives

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 16 – The Nepal Rastra Bank has taken action against 14 commercial banks. The NRB has taken action against the bank for violating its instructions.
The action was taken against banks that violated the directive in the first and second quarters of the current fiscal year.
The affected banks are Prabhu Bank, Nepal Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nabil Bank, Himalayan Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, Nepal Bangladesh Bank, NCC Bank, Citizens Bank, Sunrise Bank, Mega Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, NMB Bank and Century Bank.
The bank has taken action such as imposing fines and warning for violating various directives given by the central bank.
