Instruction to ban cryptocurrency, networking and online gambling apps

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 15 – The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has directed Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block access to illegal websites and apps, such as cryptocurrency, hyper-fund networking, and online gambling.

ISPs in Nepal have been instructed to ban the operation, business, and management of such activities.

The Ministry of Finance had requested the Ministry of Operations to ban such transactions. The NEA has issued such instructions to ISPs in accordance with the Ministry of Communications’ instructions.
