Urban policy should be modified according to geographical diversity: CM KC
BUTWAL: MARCH. 15 – Lumbini Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC has stated that the urban policy and the urban development act should be revised to reflect Nepal’s geographical diversity.
He made the remarks while speaking at a one-day workshop on the formulation of the National Urban Policy and Development Act, which was hosted by the Ministry of Urban Development in Butwal.
“Nepal is a diverse country,” he said. Many problems can be solved by implementing urban policies that are based on the geographical structure of the area. The federal government should develop a policy on such issues while keeping the complexities in mind.
He stated that as the population in the country’s affluent areas is growing, the government should change the policy and pass a new act.
