UML making action plan for local elections
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 14 – The main opposition CPN (UML) is busy formulating a central action plan for local elections.
According to UML Publicity Department Deputy Chief Bishnu Rijal, a meeting of the UML central office held on Monday at the party office in Thapathali discussed the action plan to make the entire party line election-oriented.
He stated that the meeting discussed the agenda for the party’s central secretariat meeting on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Election training and orientation programs have been completed in all states, according to Rijal, and meetings of other levels of the party will be held soon to make the entire party ranks central to the election.
He also stated that preparations for the Politburo and Central Committee meetings were discussed.
UML has convened a meeting on March 23 and 24 to discuss the recent political situation and the upcoming local elections. A secretariat meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, and a politburo meeting is scheduled for March 21 before the central committee meeting.
