Bereaved families to get relief assistance, receive bodies

MUGLIN: MARCH. 13 – An agreement has been reached to ensure a relief compensation to the family of three who were killed in a road accident here on Friday evening.

Following the agreement, the bereaved families received the bodies. Both sides: the victims and the owner of a tanker (Na 1 Ka 8108) involved in the hitting of a motorcycle that ended in the death of three agreed to settle the case at Area Police Office, Tandi today.

The deceased are Triki Gurung, 30, her son Aron, 5 of Ichchhakamana-2 and relative Nabin Gurung, 24, of Ichchhakamana-2.

According to the victims’ relative Anjan Gurung, they have received the bodies following the agreement.

According to the police, the tanker knocked down the motorcycle at Ramainlo Danda of Ichhakamana-2 at the Fishling Shaktikhor section, killing the three on the spot.

Chitwan Police Spokesperson Narhari Adhikari said tanker driver Santaram Darai of Ratnanagar municipality-11 was arrested immediately after the accident along with the vehicle.
