Final hearing of the case of 14 parliamentarians including Nepal is being held at the same time
Judgment may be given on April 3
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 13 – On April 3, the Supreme Court will hear a final hearing on the legitimacy of 14 lawmakers, including UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal.
A joint bench of Justices Ishwor Khatiwada and Kumar Regmi announced that a written response had been received and scheduled a final hearing.
The case has been assigned to the Supreme Court’s plenary session for a final hearing, according to the Supreme Court. “After the demand for an interim order reached all parts of the case,” the source said, “the Supreme Court issued an order so that a final decision could be made.” If the process is completed, a decision will be made.
The court is investigating issues such as Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota failing to implement the party’s action against 14 lawmakers, including Nepal, failing to recognize the identities of leaders such as Jhala Nath Khanal for party split, and posting information on Lumbini lawmakers Bimala Khatri Oli and Ajay Shahi.
For the past six months, the UML has been obstructing the House of Representatives meeting, claiming that the party’s action against 14 Nepali lawmakers has not been carried out.
