More than 72 leaders leave UML-Congress & join Unified Socialist Party
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 11 – Some UML and Congress leaders have joined the Unified Socialist Party in place of the UML and Congress. More than 72 leaders/cadres have left the UML and the Nepali Congress to join the Unified Socialists, according to Rajan Rai, who is also the Social Development Minister of State 1.
Likewise, three central vice presidents of the Kirant Khambuwan Sajha Party have joined the Unified Socialists. In addition to Siddhi Kumar Rai, Ashok Kumar Rai, and Mission Chamling, the party’s spokesperson Sandesh Rai, co-spokesperson Raj Kumar Rai, and other leaders have joined the party.
They were welcomed by party chairperson and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal. “At the same time, he [Nepal] said that he will give responsibility to the party according to the ability of the leaders,” said Rai.
