These are discussions between Election Commission & political parties
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 11 – The Election Commission’s talks with 17 political parties have come to an end. During the meeting, the commission provided an update on the status of preparations for the local elections.
Except for the presentation of the election list, no new issues were discussed in today’s meeting, according to UCPN (M) leader Lila Mani Pokharel. “There are no new topics today,” Pokharel stated.
Similarly, political party leaders have drawn the attention of the Election Commission by claiming that election expenses are limited.
Some leaders, however, said that the election should be held in a systematic manner at low cost. “It simply came to our notice then. In this too, the commission has said that it will consider and discuss.’
According to leader Lila Mani Pokharel, the Election Commission is planning to set up a cyber bureau. According to LOSAPA leader Keshav Jha, the commission has also sought the opinion of the parties. “The commission is planning to set up a cyber bureau,” he said.
