KATHMANDU: MARCH. 9 – It is now possible to send internal remittances from eSewa to Nepal at no cost by using the remittance service of eSewa Money Transfer.

The facility will be operational from March 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022 (3 months), according to the company. Internal remittances sent by natural users of eSewa Wallet to relatives and friends via eSewa Money Transfer will reach the immediate recipient via more than 10,000 payment centers in Nepal and more than 5,000 eSewa agents.

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) recently made arrangements to allow only Rs 25,000 per person, per transaction, per day in the internal remittance business, and this ‘zero-fee remittance’ service is expected to be very helpful in promoting internal digital remittance business.

Similarly, during this three-month period of zero-fee remittance service, eSewa has devised a plan to award a Redmi smartphone to one winner every month for three months. To do so, eSewa Wallet users must go to eSewa Money Transfer by clicking on the remittance icon in the eSewa app and send the remittance after filling out the required information.

Through digital media, Esewa has facilitated economic transactions in Nepal’s remote areas.

The service can be used to pay for mobile phone, internet, electricity, and drinking water tariffs, recharge, plane and bus tickets, school and college fees, and so on from eSewa. Esewa currently has 51 member banks and financial institutions. These banks make it simple to deposit funds in eSewa and send funds to bank accounts via Isewa.

Esewa Money Transfer has been sending remittances through traditional style and digital means to eSewa wallet users and more than 60 bank accounts. Esewa Money Transfer has been providing remittance payment services to its clients through more than 10,000 agent networks.

Esewa Money Transfer, approved by Nepal Rastra Bank in 2019, is a sister company of F1 Soft Group, which has been empowering more than one million people and more than one million institutions across the country through fintech-based payment services.
