Nepali businessmen in India to promote tourism in State 1
BIRATNAGAR: MARCH. 8 – A delegation of tourism entrepreneurs has reached in India’s West Bengal and Bihar to promote the East Tourism Mart 2022, which will be held in Sunsari’s Dharan. Entrepreneurs from the East have arrived in Siliguri for three days beginning Saturday to promote tourism at the Bengal Travel Mart.
The mart drew visitors from Biratnagar, Dharan, Itahari, Kakarvitta, Damak, Birtamode, and other locations. The Nepal Tourism Board has set up stalls in the mart for Nepali businessmen. Bhavish Shrestha, the coordinator of the East Tourism Mart, stated that participating in the Bengal Travel Mart will help promote tourism in Eastern Nepal.
Shrestha expressed excitement about the promotion with travel agents from Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha, who he believes will be the primary customers of Eastern Nepal in Bengal Travel Mart.
A team of Nepali tourism entrepreneurs from State 1 will visit Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, and Darbhanga in Bihar to promote and promote East Tourism Mart.
According to Uday Shrestha, state chairperson of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATA), the marts will be invited to the places of Bihar and the former will be promoted. East Tourism Mart 2022 will be held in Dharan on March 25, 26, and 27.
This is the third edition of Mart. The mart held in 2018 and 2019 could not be held in the intervening years due to the COVID-19. According to Shrestha, activities such as the tourism business mart, which was halted due to COVID-19, may regain traction. The Nepal Tourism Board coordinates the Bengal and Bihar tour program.
