Harmful chemical attack on women in Bhaktapur

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 7 – A woman has been attacked with harmful chemicals in Bhaktapur.

Shyam Gubhaju, 65, of Suryabinayak-4 Gamchha, sprayed toxic chemicals on his 60-year-old wife Pooja Gubhaju.

Pooja was seriously injured after a chemical spill on Sunday evening, according to SP Shiva Kumar Shrestha, Chief of District Police Office, Bhaktapur. “It has not been revealed whether the chemical is acid or the other,” said SP Shrestha. She was taken to Kirtipur Hospital for treatment.

Shyam Gubhaju, who was involved in the incident, was arrested by police by police. SP Shrestha stated that further investigation is being conducted.
