Jhapa reports fire from gas leak

BANIYANI: MARCH. 6 – A fire has been reported at Bhadrapur Road of Birtamode Municipality-4 in Jhapa. Gas leak is blamed for the blaze.

According to Area Police Office, the fire that broke out in a one-storey cemented house with a metal roof of one Ramananda Shah destroyed all belongings of the family.

The loss details are awaited, police said. Firefighters from Birtamod, Bhadrapur and Mechinagar Municipalities were deployed to douse the fire. It was taken under full control after an hour.
