Such is the agenda for today’s meeting of HoR
KATHMANDU: MARCH 6 – The meeting of the House of Representatives is being held today. The 10th meeting of the tenth convention is about to take place.
A meeting at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor has been scheduled for 1 p.m. The Federal Parliament Secretariat has made the meeting’s possible agenda public.
According to the Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is likely to present the 31st Annual Report of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, FY 2077/78. A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee has also been convened before the meeting of the House of Representatives.
Since Sept 8, the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, has been obstructing parliament. UML has been obstructing the parliament since Sep 8 saying that Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota did not recognize the expulsion of its 14 lawmakers.
The UML has been obstructing the parliament, saying that the speaker has helped to the party’s split by failing to recognize the action. Despite the UML’s opposition, Speaker Sapkota is presiding over the meeting.
