KATHMANDU: MARCH. 5 – Today is the swearing in of the newly elected National Assembly member. The 19 members of the National Assembly will be sworn in at 11 a.m. in the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee’s office, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, a program has been organized to provide newly elected parliamentarians with information about the parliamentary process and methodology, as well as the swearing-in ceremony.
On Friday, the terms of twenty members of the National Assembly came to an end after a four-year term.

Karnali: Durga Gurung, Nara Bahadur Bista, Uday Bahadur Bohara
Far West: Madan Kumari Shah, Jagat Bahadur Parki, Narayan Dutt Mishra
Who is on leave?
Tara Devi Bhatta, president of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, Ram Narayan Bidari, president of the Delegated Management and Government Assurance Committee and Parashuram Meghi Gurung, president of the Legislative Management Committee are expected to complete their term.
Most of the UML members have gone on leave. Among them are Agam Prasad Bantawa Rai, Kabita Bogati, Komal Oli, Chakra Prasad Snehi, Nainakala Ojha, Parshuram Meghi Gurung, Ram Lakhan Chamar and Suman Raj Pyakurel.
Similarly, Udaya Sharma Poudel, Thagendra Prakash Puri, Shanti Kumari Adhikari GC and Sher Bahadur Kunwar of CPN-Unified Socialist Party and Khim Kumar BK, Jeevan Budha, Dinanath Sharma and Shashikala Dahal of CPN-Maoist have also completed their terms.
Similarly, Drug Narayan Pandey, Tara Devi Bhatta and Radheshyam Adhikari from the Nepali Congress have also completed their terms from the National Assembly. Similarly, Ram Narayan Bidari of the UCPN (Maoist) has also completed the terms.
On January 26, elections for 19 seats in the National Assembly were held. Previously, in 2076 BS, 19 MPs who had won the lottery for two years were dismissed.
