ITAHARI: MARCH. 4 – Shane Warne, the Australian cricket legend who helped his country win the World Cup in 1999 and was a part of five Ashes-winning teams throughout his career, died on Friday at the age of 52.

According to Fox Cricket, Warne died in Koh Samui, Thailand.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” Warne’s management confirmed in a statement to Fox Sports in Australia.

“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide additional details as soon as possible,” the statement added.
