Term of these 20 members of NA expired (with list)
KATHMANDU: MARCH. 4 – The term of 20 National Assembly members expired today. The terms of 20 members of parliament, including three chairpersons, came to an end today.
The term chairperson of the parliamentary committee is Tara Devi Bhatta, chairperson of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, Ram Narayan Bidari, chairperson of the Delegated Management and Government Assurance Committee and Parshuram Megi Gurung, chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee.
UML has the highest number of MPs at the end of their term. Among them are Agam Prasad Bantawa Rai, Kabita Bogati, Komal Oli, Chakra Prasad Snehi, Nainakala Ojha, Parshuram Meghi Gurung, Ram Lakhan Chamar and Suman Raj Pyakurel.
Similarly, Udaya Sharma Poudel, Thagendra Prakash Puri, Shanti Kumari Adhikari GC and Sher Bahadur Kunwar of CPN-Unified Socialist Party and Khim Kumar BK, Jeevan Budha, Dinanath Sharma and Shashikala Dahal of CPN-Maoist have also completed their terms.
Similarly, Nepali Congress members Dirgha Narayan Pandey, Tara Devi Bhatta, and Radheshyam Adhikari are leaving the National Assembly. Similarly, Ram Narayan Bindari’s term has expired. The main opposition party, the CPN-UML, is among those leaving today.
On Saturday, the 19 newly elected members of the National Assembly will be sworn in. On January 26, elections for 19 seats in the National Assembly were held. Previously, in 2076 BS, 19 MPs who had won the lottery for two years were dismissed.
