All parties should keep nation & people at centre : leader Singh
BANEPA: MARCH. 3 – Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has stated that once the MCC is approved by the federal parliament, all parties should collaborate with the nation and the people at the center.
At the 50th meeting of the Nepali Congress’ Kathmandu District Working Committee, held today in Dhulikhel, Kavrepalanchowk, he stated that there were no differences of opinion within the Congress, as there were in other parties.
He stated that there was no other option for all parties to move forward by creating an atmosphere of national consensus in the interests of the nation and the people by keeping the nation and the people at the center, in accordance with the wishes of the general Nepali people.
He stated that the Nepali Congress promulgated the constitution by consensus and that the MCC approved it by the parliament with unanimous approval.
Leader Singh also stated that the opposition party, the CPN (UML), should conduct responsible politics on the basis of understanding. Leader Singh stated that development work should be focused on achieving national consensus by accepting grants from donor countries for projects that benefit the nation.
He also stated that now that the election date has been set, it is the government’s responsibility to conduct the election in a fair and free manner.
Kanchan Chandra Badel, General Secretary of the Nepali Congress Bagmati Pradesh Committee, is among the leaders present at the District Working Committee meeting, which is chaired by Kathmandu District President Krishna Bania.
The meeting will start concentrating on mobilizing the organization for the upcoming election and clarifying its views on issues of national politics.
