KATHMANDU: MARCH. 3 – The limit on internal remittances has been reduced by Nepal Rastra Bank. With effect from today, the central bank has reduced the remittance limit.
Today, the NRB issued a notice regarding remittances in the country. The ‘sub-agents’ or sub-representatives of the remittance company have made an arrangement to do only up to Rs 25,000 per person per day while transacting in the country. Earlier, the maximum limit of such internal remittance transactions was up to one lakh.
According to the central bank, no changes have been made to the limit on cash remittances sent from abroad to concerned persons or relatives in Nepal.
