Budha Subba Gold Cup worth Rs. 1 million to be held from April 9

BIRATNAGAR: MARCH. 2 – The Budha Subba Gold Cup, the season’s biggest international invitational competition, is set to take place at the end of next Chaith (April/May). On Wednesday, Dharan Football Club held a press conference to announce the competition.
According to the organizers, Dharan Football Club, the tournament will take place from April 9-16. The club’s chairperson, Kishor Rai, announced that the club is preparing to hold the 23rd edition from Chaith 26 (April 9), which was postponed last year due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
The competition will feature eight teams, including the organizing club. Rai stated that two teams from India and two other best clubs from Mofasal will compete, as well as the top three teams from the recently concluded Martyrs’ Memorial League in Kathmandu. Along with the trophy, the winner will receive Rs 1 million in cash, and the runner-up will receive Rs 500,000 in cash.
The tournament’s best player will receive Rs 150,000, while the man of the match in each game will receive Rs 10,000. The competition’s top scorer will receive Rs 20,000 in cash. According to Chairperson Rai, the best defence, best goalkeeper, best midfielder, best striker, and best coach will each receive 15,000 cash prizes.
The competition is expected to earn Rs 6.6 million, with the organizers estimating a cost of Rs 5.132 million.
