Rs 50 thousand to women of Gandaki State for cancer treatment

CHITWAN: MARCH. 2 – Women of Gandaki State suffering from cancer of the reproductive organs will get a concession of Rs 50,000 in their medical treatment.
The Gandaki State government has entered into an agreement with the BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital here in this regard.
The Hospital’s executive director Dr Dej Kumar Gautam and Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Population of the State Government, Dr Shreeram Tiwari today signed a memorandum of understanding related to the free treatment assistance programme.
As per the MoU, the Gandaki State government will provide a concession of Rs 50,000 to women from the State for the treatment of cancer-related to reproductive organs.
Executive director Dr Gautam said that the women from the State can avail of this facility after spending the Rs 100 thousand provided by the federal government for the same.
He added that the women from Gandaki State and suffering from cancer of the reproductive organs will get a concession of Rs 50,000 from the State government after spending the Rs 100 thousand assistance provided by the Government of Nepal for their medical treatment.
According to him, this concession would be available for the treatment of breast cancer, ovarian cancer and cervical cancer, among others.
Dr Gautam shared that only the women who have proven residence in Gandaki State will get this health assistance.
Secretary Dr Tiwari informed that the MoU has been done in line with the State government’s policy of providing medical support for the medical treatment of women suffering from cancer of the reproductive organs.
