Siddhanta Thakuri, a banker, is Chief Operating Officer of Fonepay

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 2 – Siddhanta Thakuri, a banker, has been appointed as one of Nepal’s leading payment system operators, Fonepay Payment Services Limited. Bishwas Dhakal, Chairperson of F1Soft Group, greeted the newly appointed Thakuri.

Thakuri, the newly appointed COO, has over 18 years of experience at Nabil Bank. Thakuri has decades of experience in the card and digital payment industries. Thakuri has over 8 years of sales and marketing, operations, and risk management experience. His arrival is expected to make phone service more convenient.

Fonepay, which was established two years ago with the goal of creating a Digital Nepal, now has over 570,000 merchants.

Fonepay has been used by over 15 million mobile banking users from banks, financial institutions, and payment service providers. 60 banks and financial institutions have joined the Fonepay network in the last two years.
