KATHMANDU: MARCH. 2 – CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal has stated that not allowing to express his views is against the party’s principles. He claimed that not participating in the debate in parliament was self-serving.

Rawal stated on social media that the UML’s constitution and the organizational proposal made it clear that the agreement with the MCC was in the national interest.

“The party constitution directs us to stand up for the national interest,” he said. It is against self-centred, self-proclaimed thinking and party doctrine and policy not to participate in the discussions in the parliament. I stand by the party principles. ‘

Earlier on Tuesday, Chairperson KP Sharma Oli stated that Rawal was showing himself to be a hero. Leader Rawal responded by speaking on behalf of the country and urging Chairperson Oli to be a ‘hero.’ “I would be happy if the president himself spoke for the country and became a ‘hero’,” he added. “The country is far above party and personal interests.”
