Gopi Hamal, Bibeksheel Sajha Party coordinator resigns

KATHMANDU: MARCH. 1 – Gopi Hamal, the Bibeksheel Sajha Party’s Far-Western coordinator, has resigned.

In the most recent local elections, he ran as an independent candidate for mayor. He resigned as the local elections approached in order to run for re-election.

He stated that he had resigned as the residents of the municipality had suggested him to run as an independent candidate.

In his resignation letter, he wrote, “I have no intention of doing politics for a long time and as I am preparing to contest the election for the last time, I would like to inform that I have resigned from all responsibilities including the ordinary members of the party from today.”
