Two injured in MCC protest in Kanchanpur

KATHMANDU: FEB. 28 – A general clash broke out between the agitating and the police in protest against the MCC in Bhimdattanagar of Kanchanpur. Clashes broke out between CPN (Maoist) cadres close to Biplav and police against the MCC approval.

After witnessing protesters grabbing the keys to the vehicle in front of the land revenue office, police arrived and while reminding them, they began beating the police; we are attempting to calm them down.

He said that two persons were injured in the incident. It is learned that Dipendra Airee, vice-chairperson of the youth organization Kanchanpur and Harish Airee, secretary of Akhil Krantikari Kanchanpur were injured in the incident.
