Anti-MCC protesters vandalize a vehicle carrying milk & a bus in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: FEB. 28 – During the strike, vehicles carrying milk and buses were vandalized in protest of the MCC agreement being approved by parliament. In response to the MCC, six communist organizations and two fronts have called for a strike today.

Protesters vandalized a milk delivery vehicle in Sukedhara and three buses in Chabahil and Kalanki, according to Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Spokesperson (SP) Dinesh Raj Mainali. He claimed that the police had detained six people who had gone to stop the protest in the morning.

The strike was called by the Communist Party of Nepal led by Biplav, the Communist Party of Nepal (Masal) led by Mohan Bikram Singh and Mohan Vaidya ‘Kiran’ CPN-Revolutionary Maoist.
