MG’s new electric vehicle MG ZS EV 2022 in Nepali market

KATHMANDU: FEB. 27 – Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd., the sole official distributor of MG (Morris Garage) Motors in Nepal, has unveiled the new electric vehicle MG ZS EV 2022. The price of the vehicle has also been made public at a formal press conference held at the Naxal showroom on Sunday.

Coming in two variants, Standard Range and Long Range, this MG ZS EV comes with the option of two battery packs. A 51.5 kWh high-tech battery is used. Its range is 319 km. Another has a 72.6 kWh battery with a range of 440 km. Its ground clearance is 175 mm.

The interior and exterior of the MG ZS EV 2022 has been redesigned and updated. The interior has a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver display. Also has a rotary dial gear knob, driving mode and braking regeneration. It has headlamps, integrated LED DRL, LED tail lamps.

Named MG Pilot, the vehicle is considered to be very safe as it has an advanced driver assistance system with automatic emergency braking. The MG ZS EV2022 has a permanent magnet synchronous motor with 130 hp of power and 280 Nm of torque. It can reach 100 kilometers per hour in 8.5 seconds. With MG’s signature global design, the electronic vehicle features a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a 2.5-inch PM filter.

The MG ZS EV2022 features a powered driver’s seat, automatic headlights and wipers, connected car technology, six airbags, hill start, decent control all-wheel disc brakes, tire pressure monitoring system and electronic stability control. Its charging port is located next to the MG badge. It also has mobile wireless charging, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and a 360-degree camera.

The standard range vehicles are priced at Rs 51.99 lakh and long-range at Rs 59.99 lakh.
