Nepal Law Practitioners to participate in election of Bar

KATHMANDU: FEB. 27 – Nepal Law Practitioners Association is going to participate in the upcoming election of Nepal Bar Association on April 6.

At a press conference in Kathmandu on Sunday, the organization stated that it would lead the Nepal Bar to remain active in the cause of a clean, fair and competent justice system.

Bishnu Prasad Bhattarai, senior advocate and chairperson of the organization, spoke on the occasion, saying that they would work to preserve the belief in the rule of law, which empowers and establishes issues such as morality and good governance. He stated that the people have been unable to obtain justice and that the judiciary has been doomed to failure.

He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture. He stated that the current government was established by Supreme Court order in the year 078 BS.

Raju Basnet, the organization’s general secretary and senior advocate, accused the judiciary and the executive of political manoeuvring.

Similarly, Advocate Thakur Prasad Acharya stated that today’s program was planned in preparation for the upcoming Nepal Bar election.
