MCC to be passed today
KATHMANDU: FEB. 27 – The ruling coalition has decided to pass the MCC project in parliament today.
Following the meeting, Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel announced that the MCC would be passed today. “It has been agreed to pass it in the second sitting of the House of Representatives today,” he said.
He stated that it would be passed in conjunction with the resolution, after making explanatory remarks on some of the suspected issues.
“It simply came to our notice then. It was decided to move forward by agreeing on this. There was talk of clarifying the issues raised, “he said. It is not part of the Indo-Pacific strategy, it is not above the constitution of Nepal. Nepal’s constitution is supreme in Nepal. “It’s just a development partner,” Poudel said.
UML also believes in favor
Congress leader Poudel expressed confidence that the opposition party CPN-UML would also pass the MCC. He stated that the ruling coalition was confident in supporting the MCC as the UML had registered the proposal in parliament.
