Large number of police deployed in Baneshwor area

KATHMANDU: FEB. 25 – A large number of police have been deployed in the New Baneshwor area of ​​Kathmandu since this morning. Security has been tightened in the Baneshwor area as there is an agenda to discuss MCC in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.

Bishnu Kumar KC, the Central Spokesperson of the Nepal Police, stated that a large number of police have been mobilized around Baneshwor in anticipation of a possible protest against the MCC.

According to him, civil police have been deployed in the Baneshwor area since this morning.

Various parties have organized protest programs today. On Thursday, clashes erupted between police and protesters in Baneshwor, Bijulibazar, Babar Mahal, and other areas.
