MCC in Parliament, Minister Sharma busy roaming!

POKHARA: FEB. 24 – Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma is preoccupied on the day the US aid project MCC is scheduled to be tabled in parliament.

The Parliament Secretariat made public on Wednesday the preliminary agenda that Finance Minister Sharma will table in the House of Representatives at 1 p.m. on Thursday to discuss the MCC. But Finance Minister Sharma is busy roaming in Parbat and Baglung.

Since Wednesday evening, Finance Minister Sharma has been touring various tourist destinations and resorts in Parbat and Baglung. Sharma eating at a cafe in the Parbat is currently being discussed on social media.

As the Ministry is the main stakeholder in this agreement, the Finance Minister is responsible for presenting it to Parliament. Finance Minister Sharma, on the other hand, has left Kathmandu to avoid it.

Previously, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki had submitted the agreement to parliament after Finance Minister Sharma was absent from the meeting due to illness.
