World Cup selection: UAE set a target of 176 runs against Nepal

KATHMANDU: FEB. 22 – In the T20 World Cup qualifiers semi-final, the UAE has set a target of 176 runs for Nepal. UAE, who won the toss and chose to bat first, lost seven wickets in 20 overs while scoring 175 runs.

UAE’s Mohammad Wasim scored 70 runs and Arabinda 46 runs. Due to their aggressive batting, the UAE was heading towards a higher total.

Jitendra Mukhiya and Abinash Bohara from Nepal each took three wickets, while Sandeep Lamichhane took one. Abinash took 2-2 in the 17th over, and Jitendra took 2-2 in the 18th.

Jitendra took UAE’s wicket in the second over. The UAE, on the other hand, batted aggressively. UAE shared 66 runs for the second wicket after losing the first wicket by 6 runs. Aravind, a 19-year-old batsman from the UAE, batted aggressively and scored 46 off 23 balls. Sandeep took his wicket. Mohammad Wasim, another batsman, has reached his half-century in 32 balls.

The winner of today’s match will be selected for the T20 World Cup.
